RCMP say a snowmobiler who was rescued yesterday after being reported missing in the Stephenville area has passed away.
The 43-year-old succumbed to his injuries in hospital yesterday afternoon.
The man was reported missing in the back country early yesterday morning and a search was launched. He was located with the help of the Stephenville Ground Search and Rescue and was airlifted to hospital in Corner Brook. He was not dressed for the conditions.
RCMP are passing their condolences on to the man’s family.
