A consumer watchdog expects to see fuel prices drop even further before they go back the other way.
The P.U.B. lowered the price of gas, diesel and other fuels this morning but Dan McTeague, President of Canadians for Affordable Energy, doesn’t see how the agency can refrain from going even further over the next few days.
A barrel of oil has dropped by about $15 over the past week or two because of reduced demand, particularly in China where the country is on COVID lockdown.
McTeague expects has to drop by another 5 cents and diesel by 7 or 8 cents.
He says prices will go back up when China comes off lockdown.
