The city of Corner Brook is introducing a new app later this week to help alert residents to road closures, water outages and tender notifications.
The Voyent Alert! app allows users to create and follow a number of locations of interest to a user, including a child’s school or a person’s mother’s house, for which they would like to receive notifications.
Any event or communication related to the location can be conveyed through text, email or voice-to-text on a landline for those without a smartphone.
The service is free. Corner Brook residents can register online or call to get the service.
The app will be available on Thursday, December 1.
