Ski hills are delighted with the apparent early onset of snow and it seems more and more people are getting interested in downhill sports.
President and CEO of the Canadian Ski Council, Paul Pinchbeck says the popularity of skiing and snowboarding has increased dramatically, especially among women and new Canadians.
He says that’s largely due to increased efforts to make the sport more welcoming, and the effects of the pandemic on getting people outside and enjoying winter recreation.
He says the mental and physical benefits of staying active are well known and the pandemic forced people to go outside to see just how beautiful this country is.
Pinchbeck calls Marble Mountain one of the country’s most unique ski experiences.
He has yet to ski White Hills, but has skied Marble Mountain several times and says it’s a great destination.
