Its a record-breaking year for an annual VOCM Cares fundraiser.
Dial-a-Carol, in support of the Community Food Sharing Association, posted its largest total to date this year.
The campaign raised over $28,000 for families in need this holiday season.
Some big donations from across the country helped bolster the total, including a major donation organized by Clarence Synard, a Newfoundlander living in Iqaluit who fundraises for the campaign every year.
He says between cash donations and some generous companies including KRT, they were able to contribute $16,200.
