The caribou are on the move on the Great Northern Peninsula and drivers in the area are being reminded to use caution.
The Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture says a significant number of caribou are currently active between St. Anthony Airport and Eddies Cove and on the highway between the airport and the town of Main Brook.
Drivers are reminded to reduce their speeds, scan both sides of the road, pay attention to caribou warning signs and avoid driving at dusk and dawn when caribou are more common along roadways.
