One woman was injured and a man has been charged with assault following an incident on Saturday night.

RNC were called to a domestic disturbance at a home in Portugal Cove-St. Philips around 10:30 p.m.

A woman, who had suffered injuries, was found at the home and was treated by paramedics on the scene.

The suspect, a 45-year-old man, was found nearby. He spent the night in city lock-up and is set to appear in court this morning.
