Harbour Grace RCMP have made one arrest and the investigation continues following an early morning break-in at Quality Vapor in Carbonear.

The pair set off a notification to the owner around 2:00 a.m. this morning. When the owner arrived, a dark-coloured four-door hatchback car with a number of people inside was seen speeding away from the scene.

Damage was caused to the passenger side door and headlight of the vehicle.

Police located two young people in Carbonear and after a foot chase, one of the young people was arrested. Police Dog Services attended the scene but a search failed to turn up any sign of the second person who was identified.

The young person who was taken into custody is before the courts on numerous charges laid by RNC in St. John’s.

The investigation continues.
