Police have arrested a man in Deer Lake after a drug bust at his home.

Fifty-five-year-old Roland Butt is facing charges after RCMP-RNC Joint Forces Operation West searched a residence on High Street and found Butt and another man, along with cash, cocaine, prescription narcotics and other evidence of drug trafficking.

The other man was released without charge. Butt has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and possession for the purpose of trafficking prescription pills.

He was released to answer to the charges at a later date. The investigation continues.
