The provincial government’s new tourism strategy has been well received thus far by people in the industry.
The plan, coined Vision 2026, outlines a three-tiered approach to bringing the industry back from the depths of the pandemic over the next three years.
Marieke Gow, of the Artisan Inn and Vacation Homes and Twine Loft in Trinity was part of the development of the document as a member of Legendary Coasts and as a member of the tourism board.
She says the plan is a great way of addressing the realities of the world they’re in, while also noting there’s a lot of work to do.
She believes that the province could be one of the top tourism destinations in the world.
