World Energy GH2 has added some detail around a donation of money to communities on the Port au Port Peninsula. That’s where the company plans to manufacture green hydrogen at a plant in Stephenville.

One person saw the $5,000 donation to curry favour with the towns, but the company says they give to many charitable and community initiatives including the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation, the Benoit First Nation, Flat Bay Band Inc., and the Stephenville Downtown Business Improvement Committee.

The Port au Port Regional Wind Turbine Committee will decide how to distribute the funds.
