Many patients have grave concerns about the quality of health care and a new uncensored survey shows healthcare professionals have a lot to say as well.
As part of national healthcare industry research, Blu Ivy Group asked 359 workers in that sector a simple (and open) question: “What would you like to add about the state of healthcare in Canada?”
Stacy Parker, Managing Director and Co-Founder of the Blu Ivy Group, says their research shows that many workers are stressed, burnt out and wish to leave the profession.
Furthermore, Parker says it appears as if governments are letting the system crash; the recurring theme from the research was that the system is in a state of chaos. She says a lot of novice nurses are running the emergency departments right now.
Parker says workers are missing their breaks, they’re forced to have just one nurse treating 8-12 patients.
