An all-party committee struck to explore the idea of a basic income held its second meeting this week.
The committee is chaired by Minister of Children, Seniors and Social Development, John Abbott and includes Labour Minister Bernard Davis, Sherry Gambin-Walsh, Craig Pardy and Jim Dinn.
It held its first meeting November 24 and met again yesterday.
The committee is reviewing basic income models and approaches and assess the viability and potential for reducing poverty.
