Two people have been taken to hospital for urgent medical attention following a plane crash this morning in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
RCMP were contacted around 10:30 this morning after a PA-46 Malibu private aircraft carrying a man and woman crashed near the airport in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
Both were airlifted to the Labrador Health Centre with what are described as serious injuries.
The pair are from outside the country, but RCMP have not specified further.
The scene of the crash is being secured and the Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause of the crash.
Emergency crews are on the scene following the crash of a civilian aircraft near Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
The Canadian Armed Forces has confirmed that the 444 Combat Support Squadron is responding to the crash, which occurred on Department of National Defense property.
They say they are supporting the medical transfer of passengers involved in the crash, and are working in coordination with the RCMP and other first responders.
