A man has been charged with attempted murder and several other offences after a violent disturbance at a home in Sheshatshiu Friday morning in which a man was assaulted with a weapon.
RCMP arrived at the home at about 7:30 a.m. to find an injured man in urgent need of medical attention. He was rushed to hospital in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
Thirty-six year-old Christopher Abraham was arrested at the scene and charged with attempted murder, uttering threats, assault with a weapon and mischief.
He made a brief court appearance today in Happy Valley-Goose Bay and is being held in custody until his next appearance Monday afternoon.
Police have not yet provided any additional information on the condition or the identity of the victim.
