The provincial government is putting additional funding into a number of financial incentives for ambulance operators and employees.
The incentives, designed to address recruitment and retention issues will see a one-year two per cent bonus for full-time employees with an additional 2 per cent added during the second year.
A commitment bonus of $2,000 is being provided to funded employees in exchange for a return-in-service agreement.
The province says while recruitment and retention continues to be an issue, they are committed to working with healthcare professionals to alleviate challenges in the workforce and increase recruitment.
