A group of boys are being applauded for their efforts in helping an elderly woman who recently ran into trouble.

Air Cadet Ian Moyse from the 514 Kinsmen Air Cadet Squadron, along with his friend Brayden Fox and Noah Mulley were returning to school in Torbay on November 10th, when they noticed the woman, who was walking along the side of the road, fall to the ground.

The elderly woman, who was wearing a night dress, a light coat and slippers, appeared lost and confused when the boys rushed to her aid.

The boys helped the woman up, moved her out of harm’s way and helped to make arrangements to reunite the woman with her family.

The NL Provincial Command of the Air Cadet League of Canada says they’re proud of how Moyse and his friends responded to the situation.

Chair of the NL Provincial Committee, Jackie Smith says it demonstrates how the air cadet program is contributing to the province in a positive way.
