It’s going to be a damp day across the island.
Rain mixed with snow is predicted for most areas, with higher elevations seeing up to 20 cm of snowfall.
Inland parts of central and eastern Newfoundland have special weather statements in effect where snow and strong winds are expected.
East of Clarenville is predicted to see mostly snow into tomorrow morning, while west is set to see rain.
However, Meteorologist Melissa Field doesn’t rule out the possibility of snow in those areas. She says with the temperature close to the zero degree mark, it’s possible there will be snow, especially at higher terrain.
