The Salvation Army is making its final push for donations as they enter the final days of their annual Christmas Kettle Campaign.
This is Salvation Army week, and the organization kicked things off with a flag raising ceremony at St. John’s city hall earlier today.
The event was done to help encourage people to donate to the Salvation Army in the last days of their annual holiday campaign as the need continues to rise.
Divisional Manager Lieutenant Colonel Sandra Stokes says raising awareness of the campaign is important.
She says life is sometimes difficult for a lot of people, and raising awareness of that is important to their campaign.
