The ER at the hospital in Bonavista will be split between closure and virtual care over the next week or so.
The temporary changes were necessary due to staffing shortages.
Starting tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. the ER is shifting to virtual services until it closes at 8 p.m. on Friday, December 23.
It will remain closed until Thursday, December 29 when it will provide virtual services and close again on New Year’s Eve at 8 a.m. It will remain closed on New Year’s Day and open again for virtual care at 8 a.m. on Monday, January 2.
