Health Minister Tom Osborne says there has been “huge uptake” thus far with the province’s recruitment desk in India.

Government first announced that they were setting up the desk at the beginning of November.

Osborne says on the initial visit to India the College of Registered Nurses, the Regional Health Authorities, and government departments were all represented.

He says there is “great potential” there.

Now, he says the work begins on the immigration process to get those workers here. That will take several months, and Osborne says the real success of the mission can’t be measured until then.
