Christmas is a little easier for many single-parent families in the province thanks to efforts by the association which lobbies for them.
The Single Parents Association had originally planned to send Christmas packages to 400 such families, however executive director Sonya Smith says they not only met the objective but actually exceeded it.
They have sent packages to every nook and cranny of the province—a total of 415 bundles. She attributes the success of the campaign to the generosity of the public.
