The Harris Centre has had a great response to its latest Vital Signs report issued in late November.
Vital Signs provides a snapshot of a variety of indicators affecting our daily lives including the economy, demographics, and food production.
This year’s report, which was a departure from that formula, focused entirely on climate change and the effects of a changing climate on life in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Director of the Harris Centre, Dr. Rob Greenwood, says it was the right thing to do and response has been positive.
He says getting off greenhouse gas emissions is a critical priority, and yet how that is achieved while maintaining social supports and economic prosperity is worthy of respectful conversation.
