The town of Carbonear has implemented a boil water advisory due to problems with its chlorination system.

The advisory will be in effect until further notice.

During this time residents are asked to bring water that they will be ingesting to a rolling boil for at least one minute.

As an example, they say boiled water must be used for activities such as drinking, brushing teeth, making ice, washing vegetables, and cooking.
