Conception Bay South is going to consider instituting some type of public transit.
The town hasn’t had a bus service since the old Fleetline run between St. John’s and Holyrood.
Happy Valley-Goose Bay is going to launch a public transit service in about six months, and CBS is eyeing some type of busing as well. Mayor Darrin Bent isn’t sure yet what that would like as funds are limited, but they plan to have talks with private businesses.
One possibility is a trip from Conception Bay South to a centre of interest in St. John’s or some other centre.
Bent says they probably wouldn’t be able to run a daily bus service but perhaps have discussions with neighbouring communities about the possibilities, then go from there.
