Taxes will be slightly higher in Paradise this coming year, but with it will come increased snow-clearing operations.

Highlighted as a top priority for residents in preliminary discussions on Budget 2023, the province’s third-largest municipality is adding an additional snow route to improve the timeliness of clearings.

There will now be eight routes compared to the previous seven.

Paradise Mayor Dan Bobbett says improving services comes with a cost.

He says new equipment and operators have to be brought in and trained, but making sure services are provided effectively is their priority.
