The four Regional Health Authorities will merge into one in 2023, and with only a couple of months left there is still work to be done in preparing for that significant shift.
Health Minister Tom Osborne says the target is for Bill 20, the piece of legislation that will officially merge the RHAs, to come into effect on April 1.
One facet of that new legislation will be the implementation of regional health councils, which Osborne says is being worked on right now.
He says those councils will be connected to specific regions to make sure those voices and their issues are heard at the table.
