A Cape St. George woman was getting ready for bed when she decided to scratch some tickets she’d bought earlier in the day.

Little did she know that sleep would be hard to come by that night after winning the top prize on a Set for Life ticket.

Gladys Cormier decided to go with the lump-sum payment of $675,000 instead of the weekly $1,000 for 25 years.

Cormier says she and her husband will help out their children and grandchildren with the prize money.

They’ll also buy some new hearing aids and are planning a summer vacation.
