The RNC have arrested two people, a man and woman—each 34—in connection with a drug and weapons seizure in St. John’s.
The RNC’s Drug Investigation Unit launched its investigation in late November.
A search was conducted of a home in the west end of the capital city on December 16, resulting in the seizure of drugs with an estimated value of $15,000 dollars.
The seizure included cocaine, approximately 500 prescription pills including Ritalin, Dilaudid and Morphine, $3,760 dollars in cash, various weapons including a shotgun, a handgun, two stun guns and various ammunition and plated body armor.
The man was arrested on two outstanding warrants and was held for court, while the woman was arrested and released pending further investigation.
The investigation continues.
