RCMP is expected to provide an update on a situation in Campbellton that led to a lengthy road closure.
Shortly after 7:00 a.m. Saturday, Lewisporte RCMP advised that Route 340, which runs through the small town, would be closed for several hours due to an investigation.
The road re-opened nearly 12 hours later, with police saying they would remain having an increased presence in Campbellton for the next few days.
They say there is no threat to public safety.
RCMP is expected to provided an update on the investigation sometime today.
