The wave of popularity being felt by The Fables for their song Heave Away has translated to the iTunes charts.
Over the weekend the Team Canada World Juniors goal song reached number one on the Canadian iTunes chart, beating out international mega hits by artists such as Rihanna and Sam Smith.
Currently, the song has dropped slightly to number two on the Canadian chart.
The song, released in 1999, received a resurgence in popularity last week as it accompanied Team Canada’s road to gold at the world juniors.
