A man was taken to hospital and is facing impaired charges following a single-vehicle crash on the weekend.
On January 7 around 3 a.m., police were called to a crash on the Conception Bay Highway in Spaniards Bay. The 32-year-old driver had suffered non-life-threatening injuries and showed signs of being impaired.
Samples of the driver’s blood were taken at Carbonear General Hospital for a toxicology analysis to determine if charges are appropriate.
The driver was ticketed for driving with an expired licence.
