Police happened upon a theft in progress last night in the capital city.
RNC officers were on their regular patrol around 10:30 p.m., when they saw a man fleeing a downtown convenience store with stolen merchandise.
After a short investigation, they arrested a 41-year-old man with theft under $5,000 and breaches of Court Orders.
The man was sent to lockup for court this morning.
