New trial dates have been set to deal with Leo Crockwell’s latest run-in with the RCMP.
Crockwell is best known for famously giving the Mounties the slip during an eight-day standoff in Bay Bulls in 2010.
He was ultimately convicted of numerous gun charges and sentenced to four years minus time served.
Now, Crockwell is facing a single charge of assault with a weapon in connection with an incident in Witless Bay last July.
The 67-year-old was originally also charged with resisting arrest and assaulting an officer.
Three days have been set aside for the trial, from April 12 to April 14.
