Repeat sex offender Matthew Twyne has been released again.
Twyne was sentenced Monday to time served for his most recent disregard for conditions imposed by the courts.
The 37-year-old had been in custody since his arrest last May on four charges of breaching probation orders.
A judge had denied bail based on his lengthy criminal record of failing to abide by court conditions—namely, to stay away from places where children are bound to be, such as playgrounds and swimming pools.
Twyne has racked up more than a hundred convictions, the majority of them for failing to follow those conditions. He also has more than a half dozen convictions for exposing himself to women and children.
Several judges have pointed to assessments that conclude Twyne remains a substantial risk to re-offend.
It’s not clear where Twyne plans to live, now that he’s been released again.
He remains on strict conditions, as well as electronic monitoring, as part of a three-year period of probation.
