Man Arrested in St. John’s for Impaired, Vehicle Theft

A man is in custody after somebody stole a vehicle from a public recreation venue in St. John’s in broad daylight.

The incident happened early yesterday afternoon. Police stopped the vehicle on Prince Philp Drive and arrested the 25-year-old driver. He has been charged with stealing the vehicle, impaired driving, resisting arrest and breach of court orders.

He will appear in court today.
