The cleanup from this past weekend’s winter storm on the Avalon will continue over the next few days.

That’s according to Deputy City Manager for Public Works, Lynann Winsor, who provided an update at yesterday’s St. John’s city council meeting.

Winsor says sidewalks need further clearing and there are several more days of work ahead for snowclearing crews.

She says with the amount of wet, heavy snow, it’s too much for much of the smaller sidewalk equipment, but with the use of larger equipment for removal, they are hoping it won’t take too much longer.
