RCMP on the west coast say recovery efforts are continuing for a 41-year-old man who has been missing since last week.
Troy Blais was last seen in the Blue Beach area one week ago. A missing person’s report was filed last Saturday after the man’s ATV was found over a cliff in Black Duck Brook, near Lourdes.
Police say searches have been conducted by the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team in the area of the ocean where the ATV was found, which were supported by the Canadian Coast Guard and Deer Lake Search and Rescue with the use of Side-Scan Sonar.
Searches by Stephenville Ground Search and Rescue are also ongoing, as well as air searches.
Blais is described as being about five feet, eight inches tall and 150 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes and a goatee.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Bay St. George RCMP at 709-643-2118.
