The RNC has released the image of a suspect believed responsible for a fire at a heritage home next to The Rooms.
Firefighters knocked down the blaze just before sunset yesterday evening.
Crews were called to the scene on Bonaventure Avenue at about 5:10 yesterday. Police determined the fire to be arson, and the Constabulary has released a CCTV image of the suspect in hopes of identifying the person captured on camera.
Police say the structure sustained significant damage.
It’s the latest in a series of intentionally-set fires in the capital city in the last week or two. Last week police issued a release on three separate arsons that occurred in the east end between Saturday, January 14 and Thursday, January 19.
There is no indication at this time as to whether the latest fire is related to the previous cases or not.
Anyone with information is asked to contact RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477
