A number of vehicles were seized earlier this week for various offences in central.
On Monday, RCMP stopped a driver in Carmanville for having expired registration but found the driver operating without insurance and ticketed him. Later that day, police pulled a 47-year-old man over after a tip about an impaired driver. He provided breath samples that were nearly twice the legal limit. Another driver was pulled over that evening and police found the 37-year-old had been prohibited from driving. All three vehicles were impounded.
On Tuesday, police also seized three vehicles. The first was a man operating without insurance or registration in Gander. His vehicle was located parked at the court house. Later that day on the Botwood Highway police located a man driving without insurance with a suspended licence, as well as a woman with a learner’s permit driving without an appropriate accompanying driver. All three were ticketed and lost their vehicles.
