The deadline for people in communities affected by Hurricane Fiona to apply for the Newfoundland and Labrador Disaster Financial Assistance Program is coming up next week.
The program is for communities, small business owners, not-for-profits, and homeowners whose property sustained damage during the powerful storm.
According to government over 200 applications have been received so far.
They say if people have not yet applied because they are waiting for a response from their insurance provider, they should still submit the application before the deadline. Any required documentation can be submitted after the fact, as long as the application was received on time.
The deadline to apply is this coming Tuesday, January 31. Applications can be submitted online or by calling 1-888-395-5611.
