A Lark Harbour family is assessing the damage after winds knocked over their cabin, upending it like a toy.
The winds howled on Thursday night, gusting as high as 150 km/h in some areas, and Lark Harbour, which is prone to high winds, was not spared.
Jerry Travers was contacted by friends Friday morning indicating that the wind had blown his cabin, located about 6-7 km in from the community, bottom-up.
Travers says he’s trying to find a way to right the cabin and assess the extent of damage.
He’s going to try to salvage what he can in the meantime, and then figure out what kind of equipment might be needed, and how to get it into the site, to get the cabin upright again.
