Money to support athletes is now up for grabs from the provincial government.
Applications are now open for the 2023 Athletic Excellence Fund, which supports local athletes by giving them money to offset training and competition costs.
Funding is provided through the Premier’s Athletic Awards, the Team Gushue Awards, the Elite Athlete Assistance Program, and the Sport NL Scholarship Program.
Applicants must be members in good standing of a Provincial Sport Organization. Applications must be submitted by February 15 to an individual’s respective Provincial Sport Organization.
