Opposition education critic Barry Petten is expressing concern about the silence of Minister of Education, John Haggie on the strike at Memorial University.
Petten says classes are cancelled, students have been left in the lurch, while other students are in the difficult position of having to cross picket lines, while the provincial government remains “missing in action.”
Petten is calling on government, Minister Haggie and Finance Minister Siobhan Coady to respond to what’s happening.
