Newfoundland and Labrador has its representative for this year’s Brier.
Team Young, skipped by Nathan Young, will represent the province at the national curling competition as Team Gushue takes its spot as Team Canada.
The 20-year-old Young got to play with Team Gushue as the fifth man for the recent Pan Continental Curling Championship in Calgary. They played in last year’s Brier, finishing with a 1 to 7 record.
Team Curtis won the Scotties at the Re/Max Centre, scoring 4 in the 9th for am 11 to 8 victory over Team Strong.
