The Mews Centre pool will remain closed due to ongoing problems with leaks in the pool’s piping.
The City of St. John’s says after a recent repair, further leaks were discovered that will need to be fixed before the pool can reopen.
The pool has been closed to the public since mid-January.
The city says the Mews Centre has served the people of St. John’s and surrounding area well for many years, but its aging infrastructure is in need of replacement.
A new facility to replace the Mews Centre is being built off Blackler Avenue.
Some changes have been made to the Paul Reynolds Community Centre to accommodate lessons and swim times.
Crews are hoping the needed repairs can be completed within two weeks. Officials will provide an update on the pool’s scheduled reopening as soon as possible.
