The Opposition health critic is concerned after an underage minor recently received a letter informing them that their personal information had been stolen.
Paul Dinn says the young person received a letter last week informing them that they had been the victim of theft as the result of the cyberattack in October of 2021.
Dinn says the young person is being offered credit monitoring 16 months after their personal information was compromised.
According to Dinn, the young person’s family says the offer is moot as the minor is not eligible for any such program and the family is still unclear on whether the parents’ information has also been compromised.
Dinn says the “slow drip” of information coming from the cyberattack “is creating anxiety” for those affected.
