The union that represents students at Memorial University is happy to see talks resume between the university and the faculty, but some recent messaging from MUN administration does have them concerned.
On Monday, the university clarified its stance on collegial governance — a sticking point for MUNFA — saying that the university already has such a system in place.
MUNSU’s Director of External Affairs, John Harris, says they’re “not hopeful” following MUN’s comments.
He believes MUNFA is trying to have honest conversations about governance, but says the administration is choosing to “ignore” their concerns.
