The southeast coast of Labrador has a new ground search and rescue team.
The Labrador South East Coast Ground Search and Rescue Team, based out of Mary’s Harbour, will serve the needs of communities from Lodge Bay to Charlottetown.
The team is made up of local residents with a knowledge of the area who will provide support when search and rescue efforts are needed—a service that had been unavailable in the area for some time.
Team members are currently in training.
The SAR team is in place in partnership with Mary’s Harbour RCMP.
