The largest high school hockey tournament in the province is set to go ahead this spring and will feature female teams for the first time ever.
Female competitors will be among the nearly 900 athletes competing in the Royal Newfoundland Regiment High School Hockey Tournament.
The event, which has been going on since 2016, honours the history of the Regiment and its connection to the sport that dates back to WWI.
The tournament kicks off at the Paradise Double Ice Complex from April 24 – 30.
